Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon, Rolle Oral & Facial Surgery
Dr. Richard Rolle is one of our nation’s preeminent oral and maxillofacial surgeons. Currently on staff with the Novant Health Hospital System, his background includes a Bachelor of Arts degree in pre-professional studies/psychology from the University of Notre Dame where he also played football under legendary Coach Lou Holtz. Dr. Rolle then went on to earn his Doctor of Dental Surgery from Meharry Medical College School of Dentistry in Nashville and completed his oral and maxillofacial surgery training at Harvard’s Massachusetts General Hospital. He fulfilled his residency requirements at Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
Dr. Rolle also completed clinical surgery research at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, and has worked extensively with some of the leading pioneers in his field. He is the official oral surgeon of the Charlotte Hornets (NBA) and the University of North Carolina at Charlotte Athletic Department. He is also a member of the Belk Bowl Committee and a board member of the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) Football Championship Game. Dr. Rolle is also an avid supporter of his University of Notre Dame’s “Fighting Irish,” and enjoys mentoring disadvantaged youth.
With Bahamian roots, Dr. Rolle was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and raised by his parents Drs. Richard and Linda Rolle, along with his brother, Reggie, and sister, Leena. Dr. Rolle, his wife Andrea, and his daughter Eliana live in Charlotte, North Carolina.
