David M. Holtzer
Vice President, Business Development, MetLife Premier Client Group
David M. Holtzer is an experienced corporate executive with a wealth of knowledge in the insurance and financial industries. He has served in an executive leadership role in various functions at MetLife for the past 15 years.
Holtzer is a vice president in the MetLife Premier Client Group (MPCG) and head of MPCG’s business development function. He currently oversees a broad range of areas at MPCG designed to support the organization’s vertical and horizontal growth, which include marketing, financial planning, recruiting, training, advisor teaming and advanced markets functions. He also oversees MPCG’s business planning and communications teams.
Before joining MPCG, Holtzer held various roles at MetLIfe in the Distribution Department, including vice president of business planning and governance for U.S. distribution and chief of staff to the president of individual business. He also served in that same role for the president of MetLife Financial Services.
Holtzer began his career with MetLife in 1990 in the Law Department and worked in various sections, including the Employment Litigation group, Individual Business Field Relations unit, and the Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA) group. He also worked in MetLife’s Corporate Ethics and Compliance Department and served as the chief compliance officer for MetLife Securities, New England Securities, and MetLife Resources. In that role, he was responsible for all facets of the Field Distribution Compliance Program.
David earned his bachelor’s degree in political science at State University of New York (SUNY) at Binghamton and juris doctor degree from St. John’s University School of Law.
