Why D2C?: To provide knowledge, tools and resources to law enforcement leaders that aide in the development of or enhancement to an environment that is welcoming, inclusive, trusting and equitable with a focus on LGBTQ officers, staff and the greater LGBTQ community. 

Albert Guarnieri, a Supervisory Special Agent at FBI Headquarters' Information Management Division, previously led the FBI's Active Shooter program, providing global law enforcement training and public prevention & preparedness sessions. With a decade in the Chicago Field Office, he handled Human Intelligence, Domestic and International Terrorism, and various coordinating roles. Before the FBI, he served as an Intelligence Officer at the CIA, acting as a liaison during critical events, including post-9/11 crises. Prior to his government service, Guarnieri had a successful six-year career as a professional baseball umpire in Major League Baseball. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Sport Psychology from Texas A&M University and serves as an advisor to Out to Protect, a non-profit LGBTQ law enforcement association. Guarnieri resides in Northern Virginia with his husband and dog.
