Chief Cherise Giordani Gause, Chief of Police for the North Miami Police Department, brings three decades of law enforcement experience. Starting as a civilian dispatcher in 1993 with the Miami Police Department, she rose to the rank of First Assistant Chief of Police, overseeing the Field Operations Division. A second-generation Haitian-American, Chief Gause is committed to public safety, community policing, constitutional policing, and community engagement. She holds a Master of Science in Organizational Leadership, a Bachelor of Public Administration, and an Associate’s Degree in Criminal Justice. A graduate of the FBI National Academy and various leadership institutes, Chief Gause has received numerous awards for leadership and community service, showcasing her influence in the law enforcement community. She actively participates in professional organizations and civic advocacy groups, emphasizing her commitment to excellence in policing and community involvement.
