Originally founded in 2012 to address issues in the justice (economic, criminal, procedural and social) arena, including improving economic mobility for the underserved, Dedication to Community (D2C) founder M. Quentin Williams and fellow leaders in business and athletics connected to audiences by sharing their personal experiences and genuine examples of how their hard work, relationships and entrepreneurship helped move them into leadership roles, which they encouraged channeling into greater community engagement and social responsibility. 

By 2016, a spate of tragedies and wrongful deaths connected to police moved Williams, a former FBI agent and federal prosecutor of mixed race/Caribbean and Jewish descent to fully focus his energy on law enforcement and focus on elevating ‘service’ to the profession. He created and began to deliver training around the country focused on “Serving in the 21st Century”.  The mission of D2C’s programming is to ensure safe, positive and respectful interaction between all people, in particular between law enforcement and the communities served with the ultimate goal of living as ONE commUNITY.
