Why D2C?: I joined to help continue innovating, educating, and making impactful changes to help improve relationships between law enforcement and the communities we serve as well as helping develop a more understanding society.

Major Gonzalez, with over 23 years of law enforcement experience, currently commands the Training & Personnel Development Section in the City of Miami Police Department. His career progression includes roles in field patrol, K-9 Unit, Tactical Robbery Unit, and the Miami Police SWAT Team. Promoted through the ranks, he became a Police Major in 2017. Major Gonzalez's leadership focuses on effective communication, trust-building, and community cooperation. Holding a Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice/Police Management, he attended executive leadership courses and is pursuing a Master's in Public Safety. Committed to ongoing learning, he holds various certifications, awards, and is dedicated to enhancing departmental service and public safety responses. As a second-generation officer, Major Gonzalez is driven to continue his family's legacy of service to the community.
